FeedNavigator is an open and free of charge service that does not require registration. With it you can follow new articles in journals of health and natural sciences, browse selected blogs in the field of health news, and get the information about publications by researchers at the University of Helsinki quickly.
Users can tailor the monitoring feed according to their interests in the MyFeed section. Selected articles can be saved in user's own folder or moved into a reference management program. Through SFX links you get information about the availability of the material online or in library collections. The service also has a Bookmark feature, with which you can transfer a reference to social bookmarking services (e.g. Delicious, Digg and Facebook).
FeedNavigator was produced in the Meilahti Campus Library Terkko and it is included in the content range of the MyTerkko network service. This service can also be personalised.
With the help of the Vertexpress service customers will receive e-mails of the latest article references (most with an abstract attached). They can follow new publications e.g. weekly. The search profile can be fully tailored to suit one's needs. With the help of the VertexpressJournal search customers can follow the tables of contents of the journals that are most important to them and order full texts of articles via email.
The price of the Vertexpress service is €30/year (continuous subscription).
(A continuous subscription continues automatically until the subscriber terminates it.)
