Room for information, ideas, and learning

Helsinki University Library – the largest multidisciplinary university library in Finland – operates on campuses and online. The four campus libraries and the joint services of the library are responsible for the information and library services for research and learning at the University of Helsinki.

The Helsinki University Main Library is a diverse information centre in Kaisa House, where the management of the entire library and joint services operate. A significant part of the Helsinki University Library services are online as digital publications and tailored network services.

The City Centre Campus Library serves in the Main Library and the Learning Centre Minerva. Information resources in the fields of arts, law, theology, and social sciences are located in the Main Library. The information resources for behavioural sciences are in Minerva.

Our other campus libraries in Kumpula, Meilahti, and Viikki are responsible for the information and library services in the disciplines of their campuses.

The library is open to all and it offers equal access to the sources of scientific information.
