Excursion

Punkaharju ridge.

The program for the conference excursion on Monday the 27^th of July will proceed as follows:

8:00	Two lectures in Savonlinna
9:30	Board the steam boats Heinävesi and Paul Wahl in Savonlinna harbour
10:00	Boats leave Savonlinna
12:15-12:45	Boats arrive at Valtionhotelli. (A minibus will be available for those who have some difficulty with the short but steep walk to Valtionhotelli from the pier.)
12:30-14:00	Lunch at Valtionhotelli
14:00	Walk to Lusto. (A minibus will be available for those who have some difficulty with the walk to Lusto from Valtionhotelli.)
14:30	Two lectures in Lusto
16:00	Coffee
16:30	Bus trip to Retretti with stop at Punkaharju ridge
17:00	Guided tour of Retretti art gallery
18:30	Buses to Kerimaa
19:00	Sauna and barbecue at Kerimaa
21:00-22:00	Return to Savonlinna Buses depart at 21:00, 21:20, 21:40, 22:00

All transport on the excursion day (boat in the morning and buses to and from the other locations) is organised for you and is part of the conference registration. If you miss the boat or would only like to participate in part of the excursion program, the train timetables and addresses below will be of use:
