Helsinki Metropolitan Region Urban Research Program

Helsinki Metropolitan Region Urban Research Program is a network based on a partnership between University of Helsinki, Aalto University, Diakonia-, Metropolia- and HAAGA-HELIA- Universities of Applied Sciences, Hanken the Swedish Business School and the cities of Helsinki, Espoo, Vantaa and Lahti as well as Ministry of Employment and Economy, Ministry of Environment, Ministry of Transport and Communications, Ministry of Education and Culture and Uusimaa Regional Council.
The program develops and funds multidisciplinary urban research projects and related development activities carried out in the participating universities and universities of applied sciences. Its main goal is to improve the use of scientific research data and results as the basis of decision-making as well as seek best-practices and new innovative operations models between participating cities, universities, universities of applied sciences and the state.

Call for Project Proposals for 2012
Helsinki Metropolitan Region Urban Research Program call for project proposals was closed on November 7th.
The ten new projects to be funded during the year 2012 were selected after a review process. The project list is published on the Research Funding -page. Detailed project descriptions will be updated later on the Projects -section.
