Helsinki Metropolitan Region Urban Research Program

Helsinki Metropolitan Region Urban Research Program is a network based on a partnership between University of Helsinki, Hanken the Swedish Business School, Diakonia-, Metropolia-, HAAGA-HELIA-, LAUREA-, ARCADA-, HUMAK-, HAMK- and LAMK- Universities of Applied Sciences, and the Cities of Helsinki, Espoo, Vantaa and Lahti as well as Ministry of Environment and Ministry of Finance.

The program develops and funds multidisciplinary urban research projects and related development activities carried out in the participating universities and universities of applied sciences. Its main goal is to improve the use of scientific research data and results as the basis of decision-making as well as seek best-practices and new innovative operations models between participating cities, universities, universities of applied sciences and the state.
