FIMM is seeking for a
Bioanalyst / Senior Laboratory Technologist (1 - 2)
We are looking for a highly motivated individual(s) with excellent technical and interpersonal skills starting on 1 December 2009 or as agreed for a 2 year period in FIMM-EMBL Group Leader Denis Kainov’s (PhD) group and in FIMM General Operations under supervision of Director Olli Kallioniemi.

Doctoral Student positions
are open for graduate students with a relevant degree in natural sciences, biology, medicine, psychology, technology or with some other suitable background. To be eligible, the student must have had her/his academic degree completed (MSc, MD or equivalent). Undergraduate students are welcome to apply, but they must finish their Masters or M.D. studies before starting in the FGSN, and at latest by the end of June of the starting year. For international applicants, a master’s level degree or a university degree required to start a PhD thesis in their home country (e.g. B.Sc.) is sufficient.

The Department of Social Psychology at the Faculty of Social Sciences of the University of Helsinki invites applications for a
Professorship in the Social Psychology of Information and Communication Technologies for the period of five years.
In addition to conducting research, the duties of the professorship will include supervising doctoral dissertations and Master’s theses, examining theses and providing postgraduate and Master’s-level instruction in the social psychology of information and communication technologies. The duties will include the teaching and development of research methods for mediated interaction. The appointee will also participate in the activities of the Helsinki Institute for Information Technology (HIIT) as a senior researcher.

The multidisciplinary Graduate School in Animal Welfare started its activities in 2006 and has now been granted a second 4-year funding period. ANIWEL is a multidisciplinary network of research groups in the University of Helsinki, University of Kuopio, University of Joensuu (since 2010 University of Eastern Finland), University of Turku, Åbo Akademi, Tampere University of Technology, University of Oulu, Finnish Food Safety Authority (EVIRA) and MTT Agrifood Research Finland. The actual training of the PhD students takes place in research groups of the partner universities and research institutes.
The ANIWEL Graduate School invites applications for
