The University of Helsinki does not have a central recruitment unit. Instead, the various units advertise open positions according to their requirements.

The Personnel and Legal Services are responsible for the employer and personnel policies of the University and their application, the centralised handling of the University's legal matters, promotion of equality, personnel development and measures associated with the promotion of personnel well-being, work community functionality, health and safety.
