Yifeng Chen

Current research

Yifeng Chen’s research examines the issue of labour protection in China from human rights and constitutional law perspective. The dynamics between ILO core labour standards and China’s labour protection will be examined in a broad context of the interaction between international human rights and constitutional practice. His research interest also extends to China’s early experience with the ILO in Republic era (1919-1949).


Short Biography

Yifeng Chen, LL.D., is an Assistant Professor at the Peking University Law School and a docent at the Faculty of Law, Helsinki University and affiliates to the Finnish Institute of the Chinese Law and Chinese Legal Culture. He obtained his Doctor of Laws from the Peking University Law School in 2010. He acted as the editor-in-chief of the PKU International and Comparative Law Review (2007-2010). He teaches course on Chinese law and international law at the faculty. His areas of research interest include legal theory, human rights, international law and Chinese law.
