How to get to Helsinki from the airport

The Helsinki-Vantaa Airport is situated 19 kilometres from the centre of Helsinki and can be reached by car in app. 30 minutes.

Public transport to the centre of Helsinki
Taxi: Taxi ranks are located in front of both International and Domestic terminals. Journey time to Helsinki: 30 minutes. The yellow Airport Taxi company offers shuttle service from and to the Helsinki-Vantaa airport. Check more info at Airport Taxi pages

Bus: Public buses to Helsinki city centre are numbers 415, 451 and 615, and depart from outside both terminals. Journey time: 40 minutes. Tickets: 3,40 euros. You can buy the ticket from the driver.

The Finnair City Bus (more info at www.finnair.fi) also runs to Helsinki city centre. Journey time: around 30-35 minutes. Tickets: 5,20 EUR.

Car hire
Car hire companies include Avis, Budget, Europcar and Hertz. Car hire desks are located in the Arrivals hall 2 of the International Terminal T2.

Information desks (tel: +358 (0) 2001 4636) are available on the Departures floor and Arrivals floor in the International Terminal, and on the Arrivals floor of the Domestic Terminal.
