Hyytiälä-stone was unveiled

Unveiling of Hyytiälä-stone was celebrated at Hyytiälä on 11th September 2017. The stone was used as a part of the barrier line built against tanks in the former Finnish Karelia in 1939. The forestry students of that year were building the line and marked one stone with their logo and text "Hyytiälä'. This special stone now stands close to Pilvilinna building where Senior University Forester Martti Tertti, the leader of the student group, used to live in summer with his family.

The celebrations were arranged by the society of industrial foresters to honor war veterans and the 100th anniversary of Finland.
