A Zeppelin at Hyytiälä
A Zeppelin airship will fly over Hyytiälä
In May-June a Zeppelin can be spotted flying around the Hyytiälä station. It will carry equipment and research staff to conduct measurements as a part of a research campaign going on at Hyytiälä.
The Zeppelin will collect atmospheric particles (aerosols) in order to improve knowledge on climate change and other atmospheric processes.
The public is not allowed to join the trips but the ship can be seen from the ground on its flights. The exact schedule is not known because it will depend on weather and other atmospheric conditions.
Here you can check the airship location.
