Office 365 - implementation




You can now switch to using Office 365 by yourself. Read the activation instructions here.

The Office 365 suite will be automatically assigned to new students who have activated their user account. Please sign in Office 365 using the link above.


Helpdesk notifications

The Helpdesk is open on weekdays from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.

On Tuesday 11th of February the IT service desk at Aleksandria will serve exceptionally from 9.30 am to 3 pm.

Apple has determined that, in very rare cases, the two prong Apple AC wall plug adapters may break and create a risk of electrical shock if touched. These wall plug adapters shipped from 2003 to 2015 with Mac and certain iOS devices, and were also included in the Apple World Travel Adapter Kit. Apple has announced that it will change the potentially defective adapters to new ones free of a charge.

To get yourself a new adapter, contact Apple and follow their instructions. The instructions for Finnish customers can be found at http://www.apple.com/ca/support/ac-wallplug-adapter/

The chat service is open on weekdays from 9:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., and at this stage, you can chat either in Finnish and English. From the chat, you can get help in acute IT problems without having to call or e-mail Helpdesk. The chat window will open on the Helpdesk home page whenever the service is open and one of the Helpdesk agents is available. If the window does not open during the opening hours of the service, it means that there is a queue at the service at that moment.
