Office 365 - implementation

The Office 365 suite will be automatically assigned to new students who have activated their user account. Please sign in Office 365 using the link above.

Helpdesk notifications

On 1st of December the IT service desk at Aleksandria will open exceptionally at noon.

On 3rd of December IT service desk at Aleksandria will close exceptionally at 12.30.
Helpdesk is open normally.

Microsoft impersonation phone scams reported
The National Cyber Security Centre Finland has received numerous reports of scam phone calls from people claiming to be from Microsoft's technical support. In such cases, the caller claims that the victim's computer is spreading viruses. The victim is then told to open a web page which, if opened, installs a malicious program on the victim's computer.
Microsoft does not provide any kind of support for university computers. Never follow any instructions given by such callers!

The chat service is open on weekdays from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., and at this stage, you can chat either in Finnish and English. The chat window will open on the Helpdesk home page whenever the service is open and one of the Helpdesk agents is available. If the window does not open during the opening hours of the service, it means that there is a queue at the service at that moment.

The service is currently at the pilot stage and it will be developed on the basis of experiences gained and feedback received. Some of the texts in the English user interface are still in Finnish, but nevertheless, service is provided in English. To use the chat, Javascript needs to be enabled in your browser.

The Helpdesk is open on weekdays from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
