We are currently investigating a metalloceramic crown-dental implant system, using finite element modeling, in a project involving prosthetic dentistry. The data will be compared with data from in vitro studies on the metalloceramic crown-dental implant system. In another project we are investigating the use of SEM and TEM techniques in the attachment of two anaerobic bacteria (F. nucleatum ssp. and P. gingivalis) on different surfaces, especially in how the outer membrane orientates. The surfaces to be used are: millipore filters, commercially pure titanium, diamond-coated titanium and sputtered titanium on glass.
