To get to the department:
From the central railway station:

• Tram 6 has a stop in front of the central railway station
• Take tram number 6 northwards to Kumpula ( terminal point "Arabia"). You should get off after a bridge over a park. The stop is after the bridge, when the tram turns right. Normally it takes about 15-20 minutes for the tram to get from downtown to Kumpula. Cost about 1.5 €.

From the University guest rooms:

• Walk to the central railway square or Kaisaniemi, then take tram 6 as described above

From the tram 6 stop on the map (kumpula.gif):

• Cross the road "Kustaa Vaasan tie", then walk up the hill.

From the airport:

• Take a taxi to the adress "Gustaf Hällströmin katu 2", cost about 20 - 25 € depending on weekday and traffic. or

• Take the Finnair airport bus to the downtown (costs about 5 €), then proceed with tram number 6 as described above.

By car from the downtown direction:

• Drive along Hämeentie to Kustaa Vaasan tie, then turn left at the chemistry department.
