Gender Studies

Gender Studies is a part of the Department of Philosophy, History, Culture and Art Studies, in the Faculty of Arts, University of Helsinki. Our main task is to promote Gender Studies and coordinate and administer relevant instruction. We also provide premises and equipment for researchers, maintain contacts with other institutes for Gender Studies, and distribute information in the field of Gender Studies.

We have a two-year master's programme and a PhD programme in Gender Studies. We also offer courses in Gender Studies on basic and intermediate level.

Gender Studies organizes:
