Participation without presentation

If you would like to participate without giving a presentation, please sign up by sending your name and affiliation (country + university or institution) by e-mail to Kaarina Koski before the end of February 2012.
We do not charge conference fee. However, participants will be responsible for their own travel, accommodation and other costs.

Conference venue

The Conference will be held at the main building of the Finnish Literature Society  (address Hallituskatu 1, see map).

The Finnish Literature Society and the hotels that we are recommending are in the city centre of Helsinki, within one kilometer from the main railway station and the harbor.  

The Helsinki-Vantaa airport is situated some 20 km from the city centre and is easily accessible by bus or taxi.  Bus 615 can be caught directly outside of the airport and its last stop is in the Helsinki city centre outside the main railway station.  One ticket costs 4.5 € and can be purchased with cash directly from the driver. Taxi service from the airport to the centre costs about 40 €.

The tourist office of Helsinki is situated near to the conference venue at Pohjois-Esplanadi 19, or you may consult the official tourism website of the City of Helsinki.
