International Performance Research (MAIPR)

The Erasmus Mundus MA in International Performance Research (MAIPR) is aimed at students with a particular interest in or background in the performing arts. Therefore those who may wish to pursue a career in arts or to add value to already existing skills will find the programme very attractive. MAIPR gives you an excellent opportunity to take up an academic career through advanced study leading to a PhD as well. The ideal MAIPR candidate has strong academic qualifications and is experienced in creative practice through drama or other type of art performance.

The current MAIPR intake is truly international, made up of students from all corners of the world. We have students who have started MAIPR immediately after completing their BA in performance-related disciplines as well as those who have worked as directors, choreographers, curators, dancers, or actors. However, it should be pointed out that this is not a practical training programme; instead, MAIPR will help you build up your theoretical knowledge on performing arts.

MAIPR is jointly organized by the University of Warwick in the UK (the coordinator of MAIPR), the University of Amsterdam in the Netherlands, the University of Arts Belgrade in Serbia, and the University of Helsinki in Finland.
