Orientation

Welcome to study at the Kumpula Campus!

Orientation for the new international students is a not-to-be-missed opportunity to get to know the Kumpula Campus, and to get all the official matters out of the way, while getting to know other international students. During the orientation course you will receive your student number, a computer user account and an e-mail address as well as information on course registration, exams, degree structure, student services, and student discounts. You will be guided thorugh the orientation by the peer students of the Faculty of Science, tutors. Tutor students will help you with get started with your studies as well as settling in Helsinki.

Please also note that you should register for each course separately during the orientation course in early September just after your arrival.

Orientation course of the Faculty of Science, autumn 2013:

August 29 at 10.00: Faculty orientation and Welcome Fair
August 30 at 10.00: Department orientation and IT-training

Venue: Physicum building, auditorium E 204 (address: Gustav Hällströminkatu 2, Kumpula).
Orientation course begins August 29, 2013 in the morning. Please, make sure you are able to attend!

Science Bazaar August 28, at 1-5 p.m.
Come to meet the Kumpula campus staff and student organizations at the Science Bazaar! During the open doors afternoon at the Kumpual campus you can discover the latest research findings, chat with the department staff, visit laboratories, and see what studies departments have to offer for newcomers. Come and take your friends with you!
