Physical Sciences

Nano structures, climate change, planets and the whole universe
– in the field of Physical Sciences nothing is too small or big,
and just like the universe, the research field is constantly expanding.

Teaching at the Department of Physics is strongly linked to the most recent research data, produced by the department’s world-class research groups that are closely involved in international cooperation with widely known organizations, e.g.

ITER, CERN, ESA, NASA and many others.

Laidback yet research-intensive atmosphere makes students feel welcome. The studies cover both practical skills and theoretical aspects of the field necessary for your chosen career. The degree programs are flexible, and with the help of the supportive staff, they can be shaped to match your academic interests.

Master of Science degree is awarded after two years of full time graduate studies (120 ECTS) following a Bachelor's degree (180 ECTS) in a relevant field of study. The Department often recruits the very best students in the research groups as trainees. This way, you can conduct your Master’s thesis project, network with internationally recognized researchers and build your expert career.
