Welcome to Kumpula Science Campus – the biggest natural science teaching and research unit in Nordic countries, with top study and research facilities!
At the Faculty of Science, located at Kumpula Science Campus, we enjoy outstanding reputation for the high quality of our research and teaching. We have several National Centers of Excellence, and research is conducted in close cooperation with noted research institutes. This means that you are taught and supported by the world leading academics.
The scope of the M.Sc. degree is 120 credits, completed in two years of full time study, whilst you will develop your understanding and skills for the succesfull enter to your future career. M.Sc. degree completed at the Kumpula Science Campus forms an excellent basis for PhD studies.

Please note: If you have completed an applicable Bachelor’s Degree or a degree from a University of Applied Sciences in Finland you can apply for Master’s level degree studies, excluding Master’s programs, in spring admission.
The next application period for master's studies is 2.12.2013 - 31.1.2014 at 4.00 pm (GMT +2). Information on admission requirements can be found at university’s How to apply! web page. The results of student selection for studies commencing autumn 2014 were announced on April 2014.

Undergraduate studies
In all undergraduate studies leading to a Bachelor's degree, the language of instruction is either Finnish or Swedish. The Faculty of Science does not provide Bachelor’s level studies in English leading to a degree.
Right to pursue the Bachelor’s degree at the Faculty of Science can be obtained through an entrance examination which is given in Finnish in Swedish. http://www.helsinki.fi/admissions/undergraduate_applicants.htm
