Advice and guidance
Advice and guidance about the right to pursue major and minor subject studies in the Faculty of Science is provided by the Student Affairs Office.
Information about the courses and examinations given by the departments may be obtained from the websites of each department, the course catalogue (in Finnish), the international liaison officers and the personal study plan supervisors of the departments.
International student tutors aid new students in embarking on their studies in Finland. Information for new students available also at the wesite.
Each year at the beginning of the autumn and spring terms, all new students from countries outside Finland are given the opportunity to participate in an orientation course.
Most of the courses offered by the Faculty are taught in Finnish. English-language courses are listed in the database Courses in English.
