Suggest news or events - terms and conditions for publication
1. The news listing and events calendar on the Helsinki.fi website is administered by the Digital Communications unit of the University of Helsinki's University Communications.
2. News items and event advertisements may be suggested by representatives of organisations and communities who wish to inform of their latest news and forthcoming events on the Helsinki.fi website.
3. News items and event advertisements must be edited so that they are as complete for publication as possible, observing the guidelines provided.
4. Any free-form news and event tips must be submitted through the feedback form or by sending an e-mail to verkkotoimitus [at] helsinki.fi.
5. News items or event advertisements will not be published that are religiously or politically opinionated, ethically offensive, do not adhere to the objectives of the University of Helsinki and the City of Helsinki, or offend against good taste, Finnish law or international agreements. News items and event advertisements are published only on the condition that the submitter accepts these terms and conditions.
6. The administrator of the news listing and event calendar reserves the right to decide in each individual case on the publication of information in the news or events calendar as well as the right to refrain from publishing information or removing information without giving a reason. The administrator also reserves the right to edit news items and event advertisements published in the news and events calendar.

8. Guidelines for submitting news items or event advertisements are available at http://www.helsinki.fi.
9. The contact details requested when submitting news and event advertisements are stored temporarily in a register maintained by the University of Helsinki's University Communications. Read the description of the personal data file.
10. Information provided for publication in the news or events calendar is stored in a database, from which it is transferred 3-5 times a week to the news list or events calendar. The University of Helsinki's University Communications reviews the information prior to its publication. News and events advertisements failing to meet the criteria specified above will not be published.
11. Requests for corrections to news and event advertisements already published should be made using the feedback form or by sending an e-mail to verkkotoimitus [at] helsinki.fi
