Superyellow world is energetic, original and full of experiences," announce the designers of the Superyellow Design company. The three textile designers behind the merry yellow logo are Anna Ahlholm (b. 1975), Erja Manninen-Björkman (b. 1964) and Henna Valkama (b. 1979). The company was founded on Valentine's Day in 2007 and from the beginning it was clear that positive energy abounds.
The cooperation started from caps made for the University of Art and Design Helsinki which were to become later the number one product of the company. Typical of the Superyellow brand are print designs where designers' individual hand and various styles and patterns meet: birds and horses, ornaments, graphic motifs, all combined in an original way.
The creation of the Superyellow brand has been focused, with the consumer in mind. Headgear and scarves have been for sale in the shops of ski resorts and the export is just starting. A clothing collection is a novelty: T-shirts, pants, skirts, hoodies – and everything made in Finland.
Designer of the Month is a Design Forum Shop campaign that will bring out 12 young and talented Finnish designers during the year.
