Other rights to pursue studies

At the Faculty of Biological and Environmental Sciences, you can also study without pursuing a degree.

At the Faculty of Biological and Environmental Sciences, you can supplement a previously completed degree in the field through a right to complete non-degree studies. As a degree student of the Faculty, you can include in your degree courses offered by other Finnish universities through the flexible study right scheme JOO, or apply for a student exchange period outside Finland. Correspondingly, our Faculty hosts students from other Finnish and international universities.

Flexible study right scheme JOO

All Finnish universities participate in the flexible study right scheme JOO, which provides undergraduate and postgraduate students with the opportunity to include in their degree studies completed at other Finnish universities.

Non-degree studies

A right to complete non-degree studies can be granted to applicants who have completed a university degree by the end of the application period and who are not enrolled as degree students at any higher education institution when the study right, if granted, becomes valid.
