The Finnish Mathematics Society reaches its 150th anniversary in 2018. This makes it one of the oldest still functioning mathematical societies in the world. To celebrate this milestone the Finnish Mathematical Society organizes a conference with talks from various fields important for Finnish mathematics. In addition to a number of invited speakers the conference features a panel discussion on the interaction of mathematics and society. It brings together representatives of industry, the ministry of education and science community.
