Helsinki Summer School discontinued until further notice

The University of Helsinki has discontinued the Helsinki Summer School (HSS) until further notice.

The HSS team wants to thank everyone for their cooperation during the past two decades; students, teachers, course coordinators, partner universities and many, many others. It has truly been a privilege and a pleasure!

Hundreds of courses, over 5,000 students, more than 20,000 completed ECTS credits and an innumerable number of events, projects, essays, exams, discussions, collaborations, memories and new friendships are something that the HSS community can be proud of!

The Helsinki Summer School was organised between 2000-2019 by the University of Helsinki, the oldest university in Finland and one of the world's top 1% universities.

The fully credited, academic, multidisciplinary Helsinki Summer School courses were taught in English and designed to challenge and inspire students in a learning environment that promotes equality. In addition, a wide range of social events was arranged to help students to get to know their peers and Finland while having fun.
