Pre-Conference 23 - 24 August 2010
The Emerging Researchers' Network (former Post Graduate Network) within EERA and the University of Helsinki invite postgraduate students and new researchers to participate in the annual pre-conference.
The Pre-Conference attracts about 150 participants from all parts of Europe each year. In addition to the paper and poster presentations of the Conference delegates and lectures by invited speakers, the pre-conference will include a methodology panel and opportunities to work within themed networks. The pre-conference also offers special events for New Researchers, such as a Best Paper Award or ECER Scholarships for PhD students from Eastern European countries.
The pre-conference is free of charge. All you need to do is to submit your proposal and register through the main conference online submission and registration form.
Postgraduate students can attend the Main Conference at a reduced fee. To benefit from the reduction, please select Ph.D. Student as status when registering as participant on line and send a letter or fax from your supervisor to the EERA Office verifying your status as postgraduate research student. Accommodation support
EERA has agreed to support accommodation costs for presenters at the pre-conference to enable all early career researchers to attend. Therefore we have arranged for a number of hostel rooms to be available at very low cost (hopefully free) for the 23rd August.
Once you have had an abstract accepted, the EERA office will let you know how to book these rooms. We hope to offer these rooms free of charge but this will depend upon some people being willing to share double rooms.
