Accommodation
Reserve your hotel room using the hotel booking form below. Please note that you will need to register as a user in the hotel booking service. Your conference registration username and password are not directly transferred to the hotel bookings.
Your room reservation will be made following payment of the deposit (first night’s cost) or if a credit card number is provided on the registration form. Hotel reservation and cancellation: Please book your hotel when you know your travel dates to avoid cancellations and changes. We recommend that you book your hotel by the end of March to guarantee the reservation as there are other big events in Helsinki at the same time with ECER 2010. Accommodation bookings are valid only after the deposit payment has been received. Reservations without payment will be cancelled 2 weeks after reservation. If you wish to cancel your reservation, please contact info@congcreator.com. In most cases we cannot refund the deposit but it is worth requesting.
In case of a no-show there will be at least one night’s deposit charged depending on the hotel. If you have questions related to the hotel booking, please contact info@congcreator.com.

This first class hotel is located by the waterfront. It is just a 10-15 minute walk from the congress venue. All Hilton Helsinki Strand hotel rooms offer high-speed internet access. Business rooms boast sea views.

This first class hotel is located near the city centre and a 10 minute tram ride or a 15-20 minute walk from the congress venue. Hostel Academica
This hostel is a home for university students during winters. Each room has its own shower, toilet and kitchenette with a fridge. The building was built in 2000. The rooms are big enough to fit extra beds as well. Rooms are equipped with modern Finnish furniture. Internet access is available in the lobby and in some of the rooms. There is construction work nearby which may cause some noise. There is a 20 minutes bus or tram ride to the congress venue.

Travel
Flights to Helsinki airport
Helsinki airport is the nearest airport to the conference venue. Currently there are 30 airlines flying to Helsinki-Vantaa airport. See the list of Airlines flying to Helsinki.
Transportation from and to the airport
Bus 615 between the airport and the city centre (central railway station) takes about 35 minutes. Fare: 4 €. See the time table.
Finnair City bus between the airport and the city centre (central railway station) takes about 35 minutes. Fare: 5,90 €. See the time table.
Taxi between the airport and the conference venue or the city centre hotels takes about 30 minutes. Approximate fare: 35-40 €.
Transportation by Sea
An alternative route to Helsinki is by sea. Several cruise ships arrive each day from Stockholm and Tallinn right into the city centre. The sea voyage from Stockholm lasts overnight and the route from Tallinn only 1.5 to 3.5 hours. Companies travelling to Helsinki are for example AS Tallink Grupp, Eckeröline, Finnlines, LindaLine and Viking Line
