THE FINNISH DOCTORAL PROGRAMME IN EDUCATION AND LEARNING (FiDPEL)
THE FINNISH DOCTORAL PROGRAMME IN EDUCATION AND LEARNING (FiDPEL) is seeking candidates for 10 doctoral student positions. The Call for Applications is open from August 22nd to October 7th, 2011.
The doctoral programme is financed by the Finnish Ministry of Education and Culture and the Academy of Finland. The duration of the doctoral programme is four years, starting from January 1st, 2012. Individual periods of doctoral student positions are determined on the basis of the stage of PhD research and the allowance available to the doctoral programme. The positions are placed at several universities in Finland. The salary will be based on the job demands chart for teaching and research staff and on the system of personal work performance in the salary system for universities. Doctoral students of FiDPEL can study their doctoral studies at all those Finnish universities which are involved in FiDPEL (Universities of Eastern Finland, Helsinki, Jyväskylä, Tampere, Turku and Oulu).
The doctoral programme is a multidisciplinary consortium that is divided into the following four subprogrammes:
