HCAS Writer Programme (2012–2015)

HCAS Writer Programme enables the Helsinki Collegium to  bring one or two writers per academic year to work at the Collegium. The aim of the fellowship is to reinforce interaction between research and art by sharing insights and engaging academic researchers and artists in dialogue. The programme, funded by the Alfred Kordelin Foundation, strives towards mutual enrichment across the boundaries between scholarship and art.

The writers work in an interdisciplinary research environment. The fellowship enables authors to concentrate on their creative work and they also contribute to the activities of the Collegium. They can give lectures and arrange workshops, such as monthly conversations on topics of interest.

The Collegium requests suggestions for writer fellowship recipients from Finnish and international literary and cultural institutions and organizations. The first holders of the Writer Programme fellowship joined the Collegium in 2012.
