At the end of the first conference day (Mon., June 8), the University of Helsinki Rector's office will host a reception in the Main Building's "lehtisali", just downstairs from the parallel sessions (see the venue information). Drinks and refreshments will be served at 18.00 at the conclusion of the last parallel session. The Rector's reception is included for all registered participants, so everyone is encouraged to attend!

The conference dinner will be held at 19.00 on June 9, the second evening of the conference. We are happy to invite you into the grand atmosphere of the Helsinki Stock Exchange building, Pörssitalo (Fabianinkatu 14). Not only does Pörssitalo have a colourful history, having hosted high-society parties, cabarets, concerts and royal balls throughout the years, but it is also of special architectural interest as one of the most impressive examples of Finland’s 20th century Art Nouveau architecture.
Located right across the street from the conference venue, Pörssitalo can be easily reached without an extra look at the map. A three-course meal is offered for 65 € (vegetarian – fish), which includes two glasses of white or red wine, as well as water and tea/coffee. You can sign up and pay for the dinner as part of the conference registration.
Art Historical Tour
At the conclusion of the conference (Wed., June 10), a send-off coffee with refreshments will be offered to all participants from 16.00–16.30. Then at 17.00, a free Art Historical Tour will be offered by a representative of the University of Helsinki's Dept. of Art History. This post-conference walking tour will last about an hour and stay in the vicinity of the conference venue. This year the University of Helsinki celebrates its 375th anniversary, and the tour will highlight the rich history of one of the top academies in Europe.
Please register for the walking tour by May 26, 2015 via an online registration form.
