I have worked in the group since 1999 as a Post Doc. My main interests are the involvement of peroxidases to lignin polymerization in the spruce wood and the lignin structure of spruce.

I have used various techniques, mainly microscopic related to study these topics. In our group, we have managed to isolate three novel spruce peroxidase cDNAs. I have localized these in spruce sections by DIG-labeling-in situ hybridization.

In order to study the lignin substructures of spruce, I have used various lignin related antibodies. Their localization in spruce xylem sections have been detected using immunogold labeled transmission microscope and Alexafluor labeled confocal microscope samples.
