Proxy server

The university www proxy server is recommended for all. It speeds up the loading of webpages and reduces the overall network usage. Instructions for using the proxy are at http://www.helsinki.fi/atk/english/guidance/directory/proxy.html.

The university has an authenticated www proxy that can be used outside university network to gain access to material that can normally be accessed only inside university network. See http://www.helsinki.fi/atk/english/guidance/directory/proxyauth.html.

Certificate Authority

Install the University of Helsinki Certificate Authority certificate from http://www.helsinki.fi/atk/english/guidance/directory/ca.html.

Publishing WWW Pages

University students, staff, departments and organisations can publish www pages at the www.helsinki.fi server.

Organizations and deparments of the university can get a www update key to update pages on the www.helsinki.fi server.
