Your own computer at University

HUPNet and eduroam networks provide Internet connectivity for visiting computers in the University's premises.

HUPNet connection is available to those having an user account at the University or those with an account at any organisation of Haka identity federation. Both wireless and wired connections are available. All that is needed is just a WWW browser.

eduroam connection is available for those having an user account at any eduroam membership organization. Likewise, anybody having an user account at Helsinki University may utilize respective service while visiting another eduroam organization.

Connectivity to the proper network of the University is restricted to those machines that are approved by the IT Services and administered by the professional support teams serving the respective faculty or other unit. The personnel's private laptops may be connected to HUPnet or eduroam networks only.

Free support is available for personnel and students for issues with their own laptops and mobile devices at laptop helpdesk in Learning Centre Aleksandria, Fabianinkatu 28. Other support units are not supposed to provide service for privately owned machines.
