Home and remote connections

Several University IT services, such as e-mail, home directories, library databases, unix servers, WebOodi and many web form services, eg. e-mail redirection and password change, are available regardsless of type of the network connection.

Ways of connection

• The HY-VPN service is intended to establish a secure connection from the Internet to the University network. It makes possible to use the services restricted into the University local network.

All these services are provided just by NetWare network. However, you can use many other services remotely too: reading Mappi (IMAP) email, surfing the Internet, etc.

What you cannot do

• Due to the slow connection and license terms it is not possible to use remotely programs installed in the NetWare servers
• Reading your NetWare email using POP is not possible.
