Asian Studies

Asian Studies is a new interdisciplinary, regional group of subjects launched in the autumn of 2011. Asian Studies concentrates on Asian nations, people, societies, languages and cultures.

On the BA level the new subject group is a combination of previously independent subjects: East Asian Studies, South Asian Studies, Asia-Pacific Studies, Altaic Studies, Indoeuropean Studies and Turkic Studies. Iranian Studies will be part of the African and Middle Eastern Studies to be launched in 2012.
