Asian Studies is a new interdisciplinary, regional subject launched in the autumn of 2011. Asian studies concentrates on Asian nations, people, societies languages and cultures.
Bachelor's degree (BA) includes one major language module (Chinese, Korean, Japanese, Turkish, Hindi, Sanskrit) and courses on Asian history, culture and contemporary society. For Master's degree (MA) students can choose to focus on one of the following area tracks within the programme:

Asian Studies aims to provide the students with profound and verstaile expertice on Asia. Depending on one's own specialization during the studies, students from Asian Studies have employment opportunities in Asia related assignments, for example, in social, cultural or business sector.
