The network Northern Europe – from Cold War Division to Restructured Europe
is formed by three expert institutes: the Aleksanteri Institute (University of Helsinki, Finland),
the Centre for Baltic and East European Studies, CBEES (Södertörn University College, Sweden),
and the Norwegian Institute of International Affairs, NUPI.
They are also leading national research and research training centres in the field of Russian Studies.
The network consists of research groups that are based in these institutes.
The funding of the network is provided by NordForsk.
The network "Northern Europe - from Cold War Division to Restructurer Europe" was funded by the NordForsk in 2007-2009. NordForsk has granted funding for a new Nordic network on Choices, Resources and Encounters in Russia and other European post-socialist states, more information availale at the NordForsk website and at the Aleksanteri News 3/2010
