Ukrainian Studies

The Ukrainian Studies is a multidisciplinary minor subject programme (25 ECTS points).
The studies provide the students with an opportunity to orient themselves to the language, culture, history and contemporary society of Ukraine. The study programme also deals with the social and economic development of the region.

The Ukrainian Studies consist of compulsory and elective language studies, Introduction to Ukraine and three theme areas. These theme areas are the Literature and Culture of Ukraine,
the History and Society of Ukraine, and Ukraine, Europe and Russia.

The Ukrainian Studies is carried out in cooperation by the Aleksanteri Institute and the Department of Modern Languages. The studies consist of lectures, literature examinations, seminars, discussions, online courses, guest lectures and study trips. Study counselling and teaching is provided in Finnish, English and Ukrainian.

The programme is open to all University of Helsinki students, exchange students
and students studying at other Finnish universities through the Flexible Study Right
Agreement (JOO)..

Напрямок з Українських Досліджень

Напрямок з Українських Досліджень є додатковою мультидисциплінарною програмою (25 ECTS балів). Навчання сприяє орієнтуванню студентів у питаннях мови, культури, історії та сучасного суспільного життя України, а також соціального й економічного розвитку цієї держави.

Українські Дослідження включають вивчення мови і накопичення знань відповідно до трьох тематичних напрямів: «Література та Культура України», «Історія та Суспільство України», а також «Україна, Європа та Росія».

Українські Дослідження куруються Александрівським Інститутом у співпраці з Відділенням Слов’янських і Балтійських Мов та Літератур. Навчання складається з лекцій, літературних студій, семінарів, дискусій, он-лайн курсів, відкритих лекцій та навчальних поїздок. Консультації та викладання здійснюються фінською, англійською та українською мовами.

Програму відкрито для всіх студентів університету Гельсінкі, студентів по обміну, а також студентів інших університетів Фінляндії згідно з Угодою про Право Гнучкого Навчання (JOO).
