Media Revolution in Russia
The University of Helsinki awarded one of its three-year research grants to Dr. Jukka Pietiläinen and his research group. The total funding for 2011–2013 is 135,000
euros from University of Helsinki and 200 000 euros from the Emil Aaltonen Foundation. The aim of the project is to investigate those parts of the Russian media that may change Russian society in the near future. These include magazines, independent regional
newspapers and the Internet.
