The Relevance of Collective Identities
for the Integration Process
in Bosnia and Herzegovina

In Bosnia and Herzegovina the diversity of ethnicity, religion, culture, language, mentality and traditions has in the course of centuries developed three different group identities. The lecturer analyses the challenges that the Bosnian-Herzegovinian society is facing and points out some possible solutions.

Jakov Skocibušic joined the Ministry for Foreign Affairs of Bosnia and Herzegovina in 2000. He was nominated as Ambassador of Bosnia and Herzegovina to Sweden and as non-resident ambassador to Finland in 2005. Skocibušic holds MA degrees in philosophy, sociology and German philology from Johann-Wolfgang-Goethe University in Frankfurt am Main.
