Please note that the beginning of the panels on Thursday has been advanced by half an hour.Session 1 starts already at 11:15.

Cold War Helsinki tram tour on Thursday evening is for the panelists.

11 September, 2009:
The third newsletter has been sent to the participants. The paper and panel  abstracts are available on the website, alongside with some guidelines for the sessions.

3 July 2009:
One of the Keynote Speakers, Professor Suri, has unfortunately cancelled his participation in the conference.

29 June 2009:
Online Registration for speakers has opened. Up-dated programme now available.

29 May 2009:
Preliminary conference programme published.

15 April 2009:
 The Aleksanteri Conference Organising Committee is delighted to inform that 171 papers have been accepted. The competition was intense; we were overwhelmed by the number – and standard – of proposals. Organising Committee wish to thank all those who sent their submissions.

16 March 2009:
Call for papers for Aleksanteri Conference 2009 ended on March 15th. Over 200 proposals for papers and panels were sent from all over the world. While the majority of proposals came from the US and the UK, Eastern European countries were also well presented. The decisions of acceptance will be made by the end of April.
