Who is a graduate applicant?

A graduate applicant is a person who already has the first degree, normally a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, from a higher education institution. As a rule, the Bachelor’s degree is the lower academic degree and it takes three to four years of full-time studies to complete.

Some programmes may accept students with a Bachelor's degree from a polytechnic in Finland. The Bachelor's degree programme has to be strongly related to the programme the student applies for. Applicants with a Bachelor's degree from a polytechnic institution should always first contact the Admissions Services.

Also those students who are in their last term/semester of their Bachelor's studies can apply.

Applying when you have not yet graduated

If you have not graduated by the time the application period for the programme you are applying to begins, you are required to submit an officially certified copy of your latest transcript of records. See also the Country-specific requirements on how to authorize your educational documents. If you receive the degree certificate and the final transcript of records during the application period, it is recommended that you submit them as well.

You should point out the anticipated graduation date on the application and submit the documents you have at the time of applying. Do not wait to receive your final diploma or degree certificate if it is not available during the application period.

Please note that conditionally accepted applicants are required to present their degree certificates by July 29, 2014, at 16:15 local time (GMT +2).
