- The Interamerican Development Bank provides statistics and publications related to social, economical, financial index of the Latin American and Caribbean countries. Their IDB Sustainable Development Department (SDS) web site includes the full-text of publications covering issues such as human resources and social development; environment and natural resources; and infrastructure, financial markets and private enterprise development. The web site also includes information on events, links to related sites, news bulletins, information on staff and consultants, and general information on sustainable development.
- The William Davidson Institute is a non-profit, independent, research and educational institute located at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, dedicated to developing and disseminating expertise on issues affecting firms in transition economies. The website highlights their global projects, on-going research, and regional initiatives. The working paper series is a valuable tool both for those in the academic and business communities, and is available online free-of-charge.

- The World Bank's annual World Development Report (WDR) is a guide to the economic, social and environmental state of the world. Each year the WDR provides analysis of a specific aspect of development. Past reports have considered such topics as the role of the state, transition economies, labor, infrastructure, health, the environment, and poverty.
- Finance and Development is a quarterly magazine jointly published by the World Bank and the International Monetary Fund.
- RRojas Databank is
created and managed by Dr. Róbinson Rojas. This academic site promotes excellence in teaching and researching economics and development, and the advancing of understanding, learning and knowledge.
- The Developing Economies is an English-language bulletin carrying articles on the economic development of Japan and the developing countries, etc.
- RePEc (Research Papers in Economics) is a collaborative effort to enhance the dissemination of research in economics. The heart of the project is a decentralized database of working papers, journal articles and software components. All RePEc material is freely available.
- NEP in Development is an announcement service which filters information on new releases of working papers into edited reports. These reports are generated by subject-specific editors and are circulated via email. The goal of the NEP project and the associated announcement lists is to provide subscribers with up-to-date information on new additions to the research literature.

CORDIS holds key information on all EU research activities.

- Statistical Reports on U.S. science and engineering available on-line from NSF's Division of Science Resources Studies. Nearly all reports produced by the Division are available in their entirety. Topics covered include: the education of scientists and engineers, the science and engineering workforce, research and development expenditures and performance, science and technology outputs and impacts, and public attitudes toward science and technology issues. Data are provided for the United States, often with comparisons to other countries. Some data are provided by state, and some by academic institution.
